Home Base
Outpatient Behavioural Health Clinic
The Home Base Outpatient Behavioural Health Clinic in Constitution Wharf, Boston, is devoted to supporting the healing of U.S. Veterans, Service Members, and their families facing physical and mental health challenges.
This cutting-edge facility, a collaboration between the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital, recently expanded with a state-of-the-art renovation to the third level of its headquarters. This newly dedicated clinical space will house the Comprehensive Brain Health and Trauma Program (ComBHat) for Special Operators. Adding to its extensive offerings, the clinic features counselling treatment rooms, group therapy spaces, exam rooms, lab areas, a family/patient lounge, a demonstration and teaching kitchen, a recording studio, a music and art therapy room, a fitness center, and an outdoor deck with a healing garden. The design aesthetic throughout incorporates a “living room” concept, fostering a welcoming and comforting atmosphere ideal for promoting open communication and recovery.
Glasshape was honoured to collaborate with New Hampshire Steel Fabricators on this project of significance. Our team utilized advanced Digital Field Measuring Technology to capture precise on-site dimensions of the as-built staircase structure. This point cloud data was then reverse 3D modelled in CAD, resulting in a digital twin of the structure to guide the design and manufacturing of Glasshape’s signature TemperShield glass. We delivered 14.28mm (9/16″) flat and bent toughened (tempered) and laminated clear glass, ensuring a flawless fit during installation. The use of precise field measurement data highlighted our commitment to quality and precision every step of the way.
"I am writing to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding work Glasshape has done recently for our company. Your commitment to excellence and your attention to detail have not gone unnoticed. The quality of your company’s work has set a high standard for our team, and your ability to deliver results is truly commendable. The way you approached our Home Base project was particularly impressive, all the glass fit perfectly and contributed significantly to the success of the project. Thank you again for all your hard work and teams’ dedication. I’m looking forward to seeing you on our next project and I am excited to continue working together!"
